Aluminium wedges are one of the highest standard wedges around and can be used to either split logs or fell trees. This Husqvarna Aluminium Wedge comes with a barb face on one side, meaning when using the wedge, it will not slip backwards when put under pressure by the tree. The 22 cm/550g wedge is re-groundable and can aid the tree to fall in the intended direction. Other features of the wedge include the ability to lift a tree up and stop it from pinching the chainsaw when cutting. Sometimes trees lean back onto the saw during cutting – using an aluminium wedge can stop this.
